Cant on-Hankow Railway Loan.
My telegram No. 53 of March 25th.
British and Chinese Corporation have received to-
day a telegram from Bland stating that a firm offer
for Hupei section of Hankow-Ichang line on terms simi-
ler to their preliminary Agreement for Canton-Hankow
line has been made by Germans.
An exchange of notes with Chinese Government
Sir E. Satow's despatch No. 340 very confidential of
October 1st. 1903 took place on the question of capi-
tal for this line.
In the assurances given by Chang enclosure 3 in
Sir E. Satow, No. 316, Confidential of September 22nd.
